Part-Time Lecturer (Information Assurance)
The School of Information Security and Applied Computing (SISAC), invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer positions in the undergraduate and graduate Information Assurance programs.
Courses may be available at all levels, depending on the needs of the program, which vary in the Fall, Winter, and Summer terms.
Courses are typically taught in computer laboratory classrooms, although some courses are taught in an online format.
Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, assessing student work and performance, preparing syllabi and course materials, providing copies of syllabi and course materials to employee's supervisor on request, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules.
Perform related duties as required.
Applicants should have higher education training in the fields of Information Assurance, Information Security, Computer Science, or Computer Information Systems. A completed MA or MS degree is required for instruction at the graduate level. For instruction at the undergraduate level, a completed MA or MS degree or a completed bachelor's degree with extensive tested and effective work experience is a minimum requirement; applicants with a PhD might be given overall preference. Areas of interest include and not limited to:
- Cloud Computing
- Embedded Systems Security
- Connected and Autonomous Vehicle Security
- Wireless and Cloud System (Mobile and Cloud computing)
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data
