Responsibilities

Teach courses and seminars at undergraduate and graduate levels. Direct graduate student activity/research. Maintain scholarly activity at a level expected of faculty at a major research institution.

Qualifications

The Florida State University Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the history of Post-1945 United States. The areas of specialization are open, but we will especially consider candidates whose work compliments existing strengths. Successful candidates will be expected to work with the department's diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students.

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization (in hand by August 7, 2019) is required, with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

Pay Plan

This is a tenure track Faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Salary competitive.

Criminal Background Check
