Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to develop/maintain a nationally and internationally-recognized extramurally funded research program, and contribute to the Department's teaching and service efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate's area of expertise. Additionally, the applicant is expected to recruit and mentor graduate students.

Note: Two positions will be filled from this posting

Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned a Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in Physiology or related discipline, and significant postdoctoral training.

In addition, applicants must demonstrate a strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals, evidence of extramural support for research activities, as well as a record of achievement in teaching and service.

Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.

This is a Faculty position.
