Description of Position
DVC's Engineering Technology program is looking for an adjunct instructor to provide course instruction in Engineering Technology in accordance with course outlines at the DVC Pleasant Hill Campus. We are primarily looking for instructors to teach CNC Machining.

Minimum Qualification-Education/Experience
Engineering:
Master's in any field of Engineering OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry or geology OR the equivalent
OR
Engineering Technology:
Master's in any field of Engineering Technology or Technology Engineering
OR Bachelor's degree in either of the above AND Master's degree in physics, mathematics, computer science, biological science or chemistry
OR
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology or Engineering AND a professional engineer's license OR the equivalent
OR
Any bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience in Architecture, Industrial Design, Media Production, Multimedia, Robotics, Sanitation and Public Health Technologies
OR
Any associate degree and six years of professional experience in Architecture, Industrial Design, Media Production, Multimedia, Robotics, Sanitation and Public Health Technologies


Desirable Qualifications
The course covers a variety of 3D CAD modeling and G-code tool path generation software packages that may include SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for the operation of our Haas TM1-P, Mini Mills and ST10 Lathe. Applicants should have excellent skills in communication and experience working with individuals or teams in a collaborative educational environment. Although teaching experience is preferred, applicants with no prior teaching experience but a strong aptitude or interest in teaching, are encouraged to apply.
