The Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning (VPTL), is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Program Manager to support the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD) and the Stanford Center for Health Education (SCHE), a Center jointly sponsored by the Vice Provost Office for Teaching and Learning and the School of Medicine. in. The Program Manager will oversee educational programs offered to working professionals in support of SCPD's portfolio of on-campus and blended short courses. The Program Manager's primary goals are to ensure satisfaction for program participants, participating faculty, and partner organizations. S/he will be the primary contact with Stanford faculty, departments, partner organizations and participants.

This position will also be the primary point person for support of educational initiatives from Stanford's School of Medicine and will work closely with SCHE,. SCHE supports an effective and efficient approach to the training of health professionals at Stanford and around the world while empowering the public through access to credible, accessible, and engaging health education. Improving upon conventional approaches to healthcare education, SCHE aims to increase the global availability of well-trained healthcare professionals, create a more informed public, and improve health outcomes in some of the world's most vulnerable populations.

This position is a one-year fixed-term position.

JOB PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, assist with the execution of a program or a product created by the organization.

CORE DUTIES*:
  • Manages customer service and support, program financial statements, enrollments, and execution of programs and events
  • Work closely with Stanford units and external partners to help develop and then follow a project plan for the program development and execution. Program execution will include logistical coordination, review of marketing materials, and set up in client relations management system.
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders (faculty, staff, and other cross-functional teams) to meet deadlines.
  • Manage projects related to online course development, launch, review and improvement in light of participant feedback and information about customer needs. In doing so, follow program lead(s) direction and ensure sufficient coordination with related internal stakeholders and faculty members
  • Distribute surveys of program quality; examine evaluation results and make recommendations for program improvement. Ensure satisfaction for program participants, university faculty, industry speakers, and partner organizations
  • Serve as a point of contact with Stanford faculty, partner organizations (both domestic and international), instructors, vendors and attendees
  • Coordinate printing of materials, review program materials to ensure correct formatting and licenses, arrange meetings with relevant faculty and partners, and organization of program elements (lectures, tours, interviews, and other activities).
  • May interface with clients and program participants prior to, during, and after program execution; address participant questions or concerns about program operations in an effective and productive manner.
  • May arrange program logistics (dinners, catering, printing, A/V, and more) to meet the needs of clients and faculty.
  • Suggest recommended courses of action in the best interest of the program, the attendees, and SCPD

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
  • Team player.

Certifications and Licenses:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:
  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Frequently stand/walk, sit, use a telephone, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, speaking.
  • Occasionally grasp forcefully, writing by hand.
  • Rarely sort/file paperwork.
