The Adult Education Department at Buffalo State, State University of New York, seeks candidates for the position of Assistant Professor Adult Education

Teaching graduate adult education courses in fully online program; publishing results of original research in scholarly journals; providing leadership within the adult education master’s and certificate programs; recruiting and advising students; contributing to curriculum development; and serving on department, school and college committees and external activities within the local adult community contributing to the mission of our urban engaged campus.

Required Qualifications:

●Earned doctorate in Adult Education or Human Resources, or master’s degree in Adult Education and earned doctorate in a closely related field; 
●Demonstrated experience working in the field of adult education;
●Demonstrated college teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level;
●Evidence of effective teaching online; 
●Evidence of academic preparedness to teach courses in adult education methods; 
●Evidence of academic preparedness to teach courses in human resources, including supervision and management.

Preferred Qualifications:

●Ability to teach courses on diversity issues in adult education, focusing specifically on the historical, social and philosophical foundations of Adult Education; 
●Experience in directing or supervising applied learning and/or service learning for adult populations
