This position is responsible for assisting with accounting and business-related activities for grants, other research, and creative activity.


  • Helps resolve payroll issues and help complete Workday tasks as needed for all CLA research grants, Island Waves, and other CLA departments.
  • Reviews and approves travel requests and travel expense reports for faculty research and creative activity. Ensures that travel requests satisfy requirements of departments and college related to grants, research, and creative activity.
  • Oversees accounts for CLA research grants, Island Waves and other CLA accounts. Creates DBRs, DCRs, and IDTs.
  • Assist with special research projects.
  • Assist Island Waves personnel and research grant principle investigators with contracts and purchasing compliance.
  • Reviews p-card reports and recommends corrective action if needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
  • Three (3) years related work experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision (self-motivated). Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Financial Managers Certification (or obtained within two years of employment).
  • Experience in FAMIS, Canopy, IslanderBuy, Laserfische, and Workday.

Pay Range:
  • $3,042.67 - $3,492.65 Monthly
