This position is responsible for assisting the Coordinator of Community Services with membership, marketing, and publicity for the Museum by maintaining the membership/donor database, communications, and related reports


  • Provides back-up support for supervisor and performs general office duties.
  • Assists supervisor with publicity and marketing for the Museum including e-blasts, social media, community calendars, and website updates and maintenance.
  • Enters data for all memberships and monetary gifts into database.
  • Generates merge letters, forms, and bills.
  • Maintains Blackbaud database (backups, etc.).
  • Assists Development Officer with research and reporting for potential and existing funding sources.
  • Arrange and/or assist departmental travel (faculty, student, incoming guests) using Concur. Schedule all travel, car rentals, hotels, conference registration or other travel needs for office personnel. Prepare travel requests and expense reports.
  • Staffs membership table at events, occasionally during the evenings and weekends both on-site and off-site. Assist with coordination of purchasing, ordering food, announcements, invitations and registration for each event.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma.
  • Four (4) years administrative support experience.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years office management experience.
  • Advanced skills in Publisher (or other desktop publishing software) and Adobe.
  • University experience.
  • Experience in Banner, Argos, Ad-Astra, IslanderBuy, Laserfische, and Workday

  • $13.01 Hourly
