Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, tenure track Assistant Professor of Mechatronics Engineering faculty position in the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, which begins August 2019.

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Kennesaw State University invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track position beginning August 2019. Responsibilities will include teaching, scholarship, and service in the area of Mechatronics Engineering. Teaching duties will include face-to-face courses, laboratories, and/or online courses. Candidates are expected to develop a vigorous and sustainable research program in his or her area of expertise. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate an interest in mentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate students.

The position requires an earned Ph.D., or the foreign equivalent, in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an allied field by the time of appointment. Relevant industrial experience or equivalent is required. University-level and/or graduate teaching experience in Mechatronics Engineering is also desired. Research areas of particular need for the Department include: 1) computer aided design, 2) simulation, 3) mechanical design, and 4) embedded systems and data communications. Expertise in other research fields relevant for mechatronics will also be considered.
