Degree and Area of Specialization:
Minimum of a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies or closely related field required.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
LIS: 722, College & University Libraries (online): Relevant graduate course teaching experience and/or at least three years of experience in an academic library required.
LIS: 751, Database Design for Libraries & Info Agencies (online): Knowledge of relational databases including basic design and concepts such as referential integrity and mandatory and optional relationships required. Knowledge and skill with SQL required. Experience teaching graduate students in an online format preferred.
License or certificate:
Teach for the Information School (iSchool) during the Spring 2019 semester. The position will teach one or more of the following courses or a similar course in the department.
LIS: 722, College & University Libraries (online)
LIS: 751, Database Design for Libraries & Information Agencies (online)
There is a possibility this position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of the courses listed on this PVL, or similar courses within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.
