The College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (The College), Department of Environmental Sciences is seeking a Business Manager. Working closely with the Chair and Associate Chair of the Department of Environmental Sciences, this position will be responsible for a number of administrative responsibilities. In collaboration with the Dean's Office Finance and Budget Team, this incumbent will manage all non-grant department funds, which includes budget development, budget analysis, forecasting, reconciliation, cash flow analysis, transfers and other budgetary needs. This position will also work closely with faculty and staff in the department to monitor expenditures, provide financial reports on an as needed basis, and manage the Curriculum Budget Plan (CBP). In close collaboration with leadership in the department, this position will provide executive level reports and counsel to the Department Chair and Associate Chair during fiscal decision-making related to funding, non-grant awards, purchasing, and accounts payable. This role will oversee one Senior Fiscal Tech and will partner with that incumbent to address any budgetary and department needs. Other key administrative responsibilities include, partnering and collaborating with the Human Resources Business Partners on students, faculty and staff hiring; onboarding of new hires; salary and pay related changes; support information dissemination; building departmental engagement; and supporting departmental needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong understanding and skills in Microsoft Excel and data analytics are required.
