Adult Education Computer Center Instructional Aide (PT)
The Adult Education Computer Center (AECC) Instructional Aide is a staff position responsible to the AECC Supervisor for the delivery of technical and academic assistance to adult education students and faculty.
The AECC Supervisor delegates authority to the educational instructional aides to carry out the following responsibilities:
Create, assess and evaluate individual plans of study/learning for adult education students.
Assist adult education students in accessing hardware, software and academic websites appropriate to their coursework.
Keep adequate records of student work and attendance hours as required by funding source.
Assist in the implementation of instructional methodology with instructors from the Adult Education programs.
Maintain current knowledge of technology and trends and share that knowledge with other instructional aides.
Attend all staff meetings and training workshops.
Assist students with content related questions.
Schedule, setup and maintain computers in the classroom.
Assist classroom instructors in choosing appropriate materials in classroom that collaborate with classroom curriculum.
Support classroom instructors, when required, in classroom and the Center.
Assume responsibility for completing all required registration, attendance and records.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field required; education as a major or minor field preferred.
Three years related experience required.
Experience teaching Adult Basic Education preferred.
Familiarity with the Waubonsee College Adult Education curriculum preferred.
Experience with computer aided instruction or computer technology preferred.
Bilingual skills highly desirable.
