Occupational Summary
Apply project management knowledge, technical and interpersonal skills, and project management tools and techniques to meet the project requirements of medium to large projects that are the coordinated activities of more than one functional group.

Work Performed
  • Collaborate with Departmental Leadership to identify and prioritize current and future projects/initiatives including: defining project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Plan and implement Departmental projects/initiatives using standard project management processes, tools and methodology
  • Develop, communicate, and track project timelines, tasks, and milestones while providing updates to applicable stakeholders and resources (may include the use of tools and technology such as Gantt Charts, CPM, PERT, etc.)
  • Coordinate meetings, activities and deliverables of functional groups in achieving project objectives
  • Update stakeholders and functional groups of identified issues, solutions, and potential changes in scope
  • Conduct "post-mortem" reviews after project completion for lessons learned and suggestions for future projects
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Education

Bachelor's degree. Additional training in Project Management coursework or certification in Project Management is desired.

Experience

Four years of progressively responsible experience in project management, including complex projects involving multiple functional groups. Experience in medical education/publishing, clinical research, or medical product development is desired. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
