Licenses: Class "C" Operator's Driver's License. Applicant selected must provide a current three year Driving Record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, must obtain a Texas Driver's License within 30 days after entering Texas as a new resident.Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, plus a combination of two years of experience in commercial accounting or governmental accounting. Extensive experience in the recording, examination, analysis and reporting of financial data. Expert in Excel. Expert with database applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Professional demeanor. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment. Ability to accept supervision. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in Public Accounting or Business Administration, plus more than two years of experience in governmental or commercial accounting. More than 2 years of experience working with internal and external customers. Proficient in QuickBooks and DEFINE coding. Working conditions May work around standard office conditions Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation Use of manual dexterity May work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
