Assistant Professor of Acting
Job description
The University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance seeks applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Acting beginning August 2019. Our program is NAST accredited with a robust production season of five main stage productions including a musical and annual dance concert, as well as an active student-produced studio season. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: teaching foundational, intermediate and advanced acting classes for majors; teaching voice/movement for majors; coaching and mentoring student actors for audition preparation; directing in the season; and recruitment for the undergraduate program.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to teach B.A. undergraduate students in the foundations of acting (i.e. Stanislavski System), directing experience, and strong ties to the profession.
Applicants should include curriculum vitae and a cover letter including a link to website (if available). When prompted in the application, also include the names and contact information for three references. This information may be used to solicit reference letters within the employment system.
Review of applications will begin December 8, 2018 and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
