Advertised Job Summary: The Associate Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life is responsible for overseeing fraternity recruitment and orientation activities. This position will directly advise the Interfraternity council, oversee the development and facilitation of ongoing risk reduction education and participate in planning, assessment and programming for fraternities and sororities. This staff member will be a part of the Fraternity and Sorority Life team and will create a rich and vibrant living and learning experience beyond the classroom for all members of the Greek community. Primary duties include: * Supervise Greek Village property managers and the Assistant Director of Harm Reduction and Compliance. Oversee and facilitate on-going risk reduction education through strategic initiatives designed to educate and empower students to make values based decisions. * Serve as the primary adviser to the Interfraternity Council; oversee recruitment, retention and expansion efforts. Serve as the primary contact for high-level fraternity chapter incidents that occur throughout the year. * Participate in planning and assessment activities and initiatives for the Fraternity and Sorority Life area.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 3 years related experience, or bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience. This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement / hazardous weather and other emergencies. In addition, this position requires a variable work schedule. Evening and weekend hours will be required.
