Administrative Aide I

Job description

Perform a broad range of clerical, secretarial, and general office duties including those of a confidential nature. Respond to inquires displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the departmental offerings and policies. Assist with the prioritization of office activities and delegate to and monitor work of student and/or casual employees. Compose letters and correspondence. Perform general word processing, spreadsheet, and data entry duties utilizing intermediate-level functions. Monitor moderately complex budgets and/or grants. This role has flexible work hours between Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, 14 hours/week scheduled in the fall and 10 hours/week scheduled in the spring, with summers off.Required Education:
High School diploma and up to 1 year specialized training or equivalent or Associates degree.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:
2 years of office experience (with High School diploma). 1 year of office experience (with Associates degree).

Preferred Experience:
2 years of office experience (with Associates degree).

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Moderate, accurate keyboarding (40-59 words per minute).

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency with intermediate-level Microsoft Office. Good writing and proofreading skills.
