Private Music Instructors, Part-time

Job description

The Curry College Department of Fine and Applied Arts is accepting applications for adjunct instructors with the demonstrated ability to teach individual (applied) lessons on any of the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass (classical and/or jazz), Horn in F, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Saxophone, Piano, Guitar (pop, jazz, and/or classical), or voice. Instructors must be available to teach weekly lessons throughout the entire semester.  Instructors should be comfortable working with all levels of students from beginner level to those with considerable prior experience. Teaching assignments are offered on a semester basis and may be immediate or as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in music performance, pedagogy, or related field. (Terminal degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience in an applied music setting. 
  • Available to teach weekly lessons throughout the entire semester.
  • Able to teach all levels of students from beginners to those with considerable experience.
