Position Description: The University of Northern Iowa's College of Humanities, Arts & Sciences- Department of Language and Literature seeks applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor of English Education to teach secondary English Education courses (undergraduate and graduate), with potential to teach General Education and other department classes, contribute to outreach efforts.

Education Requirements: Doctorate in English Education, Literacy, English or closely related field required.
Required Qualification: Required qualifications include experience and evidence of excellence in teaching English Language Arts 5-12; ability to teach a range of writing and pedagogy courses; potential for growth and excellence in college-level teaching, research, publishing and professional service in secondary English Education.
Desirable Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with writing programs and/or community engagement experience and ability to teach undergraduate literature courses.
