Accounts Receivable Manager

Job description

Performs professional level duties in maintaining various accounting records for a department or college. Supervises professional accounting staff.

  1. Supervises professional accounting staff primarily performing general ledger reconciliations and reviews their work
  2. Responsible for accounting and reporting for all University receivables
  3. Maintains accounts receivable process and due diligence schedules
  4. Collaborates and coordinates with contractors that enhance Banner baseline processes
  5. Performs reconciliation of Banner to PeopleSoft and is responsible for required reporting to the Georgia Department of Audits and State Accounting Office
  6. Responsible for monthly accounting and annual reporting
  7. Reviews invoicing to KSU Foundation
  8. Assists with month-end and year-end close
  9. Assists with periodic internal audits and year-end audit

  • Advanced data entry and 10-key utilization with accuracy and speed
  • Understands accounting processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, etc.)
  • Able to deal with multiple projects at one time
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication, and presentation
  • Proficient with computer applications and programs (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
  • Strong Attention to detail and strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette

Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accountancy, Business or related field preferred
