Department Overview
The faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UNT System College of Pharmacy (UNTSCP) will contribute to the development of the educational, research, and service programs of the UNTSCP. The faculty will report to the Chair of the Department. The faculty of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences will provide expertise in the basic sciences side of the curriculum such as physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics.

Position Details
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the UNT System College of Pharmacy (UNTSCP) is seeking to hire an Assistant Professor to join our team.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Works under the leadership of the Chair to implement and improve the PharmD curriculum as it relates to the basic pharmaceutical sciences components of professional pharmacy education.
* Contributes to a culture of scholarly excellence within the Department through research that ensures that the faculty member remains on the cutting edge of their chosen areas of research and scholarly activity relevant to the future of pharmacy.
* Contributes to the graduate program track in pharmaceutical sciences leading to a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in pharmaceutical sciences.
* Contributes to a culture within the Department that works in close cooperation with faculty of other Schools/Colleges at the UNTHSC to provide interprofessional education that meets the needs of a diverse population of Texas for effective partnerships in health and therapy.
* Contributes to service efforts that enhance the quality of pharmacy education and research in Texas and nationwide.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications:

* A PhD or equivalent degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* A track record of scholarly excellence as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and funding awards
* Current extramural funding as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator
* Didactic teaching experience in a graduate or professional program
