I. JOB OVERVIEW

Job Description Summary:

Functioning as one multidimensional team, the Finance Division is responsible for the overall integrity of the university's fiscal activities. In that capacity, the Finance Division provides service excellence in all support and business operations to enhance the ability of the university to fulfill its vision of becoming one of the preeminent research universities in the nation and the world.
The Student Accounts Office is responsible for providing accurate invoices and a variety of payment options to our students and other customers. Our Treasury Office is responsible for, among other responsibilities, providing the university with the means to expedite cash collections. Both departments are committed to collaborating to provide excellent service to our students and other customers.

Duties Includes:
The Financial Analyst will collaborate with the Student Accounts payment processing team and the Treasury Office to identify internal customers in need of an e-Commerce solution.

The position will meet with various entities across the university to raise awareness of the available options offered to improve the incoming payment process.

The position will be responsible for developing e-Commerce (stores) sites for each customer using available technology (TouchNet Marketplace) and refine the development based on customer's input.

The position will be the main point of contact for the university community for new e-Commerce sites and updating existing sites and will develop into an expert on the operational aspects of the TouchNet platform. The position will provide training and ongoing support to the university end users.

The position will assist the Treasury Office with compliance efforts related to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards, including monitoring training requirements for staff using the e-Commerce solution and other credit card processing operations as well as the Annual Audit efforts.

The position will provide the Student Accounts Office with analytical support each month to include analyzing transactional information, general ledger account analysis, reconciliations, and ensuring that the subsidiary ledgers or supporting schedules support the general ledger as well as monthly reporting of revenue, accounts receivable, bad debt, allowance and forecast, collection results and future operating metrics.

The position will assist the Director of Student Accounts by being a liaison with the Comptroller's Office on monthly analysis and the annual financial audit of the university. Analyze debits and credits data, support Student Accounts Organization (SAO

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with the TouchNet solution.
Experience with Ellucian Banner solution.
The ability to identify system capabilities and to align those capabilities with customer requirements.
