Assistant Professor - Mechanical Engineering Technology
Job Summary: The Division of Engineering Technology at Oklahoma State University seeks applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology. The candidate selected for this position should have the ability and desire to teach in one of the following areas: (1) Mechatronics, (2) Solid Mechanics, Machine Components, CAD, Instrumentation, and (3) Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics.
The successful candidate is also expected to develop externally funded research projects and be active in scholarly work. A Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field is required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills and a high level of motivation are required. Teaching and research experience at the university level, industrial experience, and professional licensure are preferred.

Located within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT), the Division of Engineering Technology is comprised of five programs including Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology, and Fire and Emergency Management Program. The MET program is an ABET-Accredited, four-year, BS in Engineering Technology degree program. The MET and EET programs are preparing to offer an undergraduate Mechatronics Minor degree and also a Master's degree in Mechatronics. The faculty are encouraged to interact with each other and develop multidisciplinary research projects in the Division of Engineering Technology, and also in the college level.
