Responsibilities

Responsible for directing high impact/high risk IT projects and ensuring the projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements; leading and providing guidance other project managers on best practices, articulates project outcomes and deliverables in the context of strategic University initiatives to illustrate ITS contributions to enhancing business value.

Provides project oversight for the ITS Enterprise Applications section. Defines and develops repeatable processes and standards for managing projects within ITS Enterprise Applications. Develop approaches for successful project execution of waterfall, agile, and hybrid projects. Ensuring the processes and standards adhere to evolving IT program/project management best practices while aligning with ITS project/program management framework and the ITS organizational strategy and goals.

Serves as a liaison between ITS Enterprise Applications and ITS Optimization Programs team. Assists in administration of ITSM and PPM processes for ITS Enterprise Applications.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and six years' experience related to technical services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.

Experience in leading the service delivery of an enterprise system such as ERP, SIS, CRM, IAM, or Analytics

Experience in managing large scale technology projects

Knowledge of principles and practices of PMI-based project planning, development, execution, and evaluation.

Knowledge of principles and practices of IT Program Management.

Knowledge of and the ability to apply the principles and practices to strategically align tasks and people with organizational goals and objectives.

Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred

Current certification in Project Management (PMP) or equivalent

Strong business acumen and experience in a higher education environment

Experience with PeopleSoft Technology, Enterprise Document Management, or Oracle Technology Applications.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
