Responsibilities

Responsible for all aspects of the Audio-Visual (AV) needs for the FSU College of Medicine and its state-wide mission critical video teleconferencing (VTC) operations. Provides technical consulting with departments to determine hardware, software, and support needs for complex technology solutions. Provides detailed troubleshooting of customer level equipment and project support to include set-up of equipment for AV and VTC needs, testing equipment in preparation for meetings. Interfaces with customers to coordinate meetings and conferences.

Manages advanced systems that include server, application, and client software/hardware computing. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining optimal systems operations and coordinating efforts to pursue resolution of problems associated with computer operating systems, complex networks, and software used at the college. Recommends, schedules and performs software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, and reconfigurations.

Provides high level technical multimedia support for recording of live events, classes, faculty development and special events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and four years of experience or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to eight years.

Knowledge of audio and video recording, mastering, and editing techniques.

Knowledge of current Audio-Visual media technology and trends.

Knowledge of collaboration technologies such as H323 and SIP video conferencing, Video on Demand (VoD) and Live Streaming.

Experience with planning, coordinating, organizing, and evaluating meetings and/or events.

Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration and enterprise account management, including LDAP.

Experience demonstrating effective customer service skills.

Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

Experience documenting existing and new processes.

Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

Preferred

Experience administering and managing Cisco AV software and equipment; including Telepresence Management Suite, Telepresence Content Server, WebEx Meetings and Teams (TelePresence Server, Expressway).
Experience administering VBrick Rev systems.
Experience using scripting languages and interfaces such as PowerShell, Crestron, and other automation.
Experience installing and troubleshooting AV equipment; including wiring, cable management, and hardware mounting and installation.
Experience with video codecs and transcoding.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and calendaring/scheduling.
Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.
