The Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at Florida State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in French starting August 2019.
We seek a dynamic and promising scholar who will invigorate our existing program strengths in innovative ways and who will further the mission of the Winthrop-King Institute by pursuing high-quality interdisciplinary and collaborative research in the field of Francophone studies (preferred specialization North-African/Sub-Saharan African or other area of Francophone studies not presently covered by the program faculty, with a possible secondary specialization in modern and contemporary French studies).
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Native or near native proficiency in French and English are required.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
