Primary Function of Organization Unit: The Academic Support Program for Student Athletes at North Carolina State University supports the recruitment, retention and graduation of NC State student athletes by providing a comprehensive support system that affords student athletes equitable opportunity to pursue academic, personal and professional development while strongly adhering to the principles of integrity, excellence, and lifelong learning

Essential Job Duties: The Administrative Support Associate reports to the Academic Enhancement Program Coordinator and is responsible for providing administrative, scheduling and Human Resources services. Duties include but not limited to: -Assist with scheduling tutoring sessions and the daily changes to tutoring appointments. -Assist with the hiring actions for new tutors and monitors. -Coordinate logistics and schedule for Tutor Trainings. -Assist with the management of tutorial account program email. -Assist with accurate record keeping for tutors' and monitors' personnel folders. -Track tutor requirements for College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) certification. -Track and develop reports on students' usage of tutors. -Complete special projects requiring data collection, analysis and interpretation in conjunction with multiple staff members. -Compile assessment data and help develop reports based on assessments of the tutoring program. -Serve as the primary point of contact for tutoring staff and monitors during the hours of 4pm-9pm.

Minimum Education/Experience:

Department Required Skills: - Ability to maintain excellent customer service for Academic Support Program for Student Athletes (ASPSA) while in many instances, serving as the initial contact for ASPSA. - Strong people skills, personable, friendly. - Knowledge of Google Calendar and email system. - High degree of attention to detail. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. - Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work. - Experience with file system management skills (both paper and electronic filing). - Excellent writing and analytical skills. - The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so that others will understand. - Ability to produce written communication representative of correct spelling, grammar, format and tone. - Ability to independently work with people with courtesy and tact in performing communication duties effectively and meet high service standards in all interactions (in-person, by telephone, via e-mail, or online).

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: - At least one year of administrative support experience. - Associate's degree or two year college equivalent. - Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal). - Experience managing multiple priorities. - Ability to learn and independently apply procedures. - Ability to use good judgment in establishing procedures and organizing the workflow coordination. - Evidence of pro-activeness, a service-orientation and successful work in a team-oriented environment. - Familiar with the various resources of the university.
