Patient Relations Assistant/UKHC

Job description



The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Patient Relations Assistant is expected to be a leader in customer service, modeling appropriate customer service behaviors for other staff: treating all patients with respect, anticipating patient needs, managing patient wait time expectations and resolving patient complaints in a positive manner.

The Patient Relations Assistant will be proficient in patient registration and scheduling and knowledge of the tools used in registration, including ensuring patient insurance eligibility. It is expected that the person in this position will participate and support daily cash close processes.

This position will also be HIPAA compliant and demonstrated proficiency in patient consents and management of medical records.
