ASST DEAN OF CURRICULAR INITIATIVES AND INNOVATION
Duties: The Assistant Dean of Curricular Initiatives and Innovation under the direction of the Associate Dean for Academic Programs works to advance the education mission of the School of Nursing through the design, planning, execution, and evaluation of all components in the School's academic portfolio. The role encompasses existing and new curricular initiatives and educational programs, and includes identifying and integrating new teaching innovations across programs, developing and implementing faculty development initiatives to promote their use, and identifying and pursuing funding opportunities for initiatives. It also manages and supports special education initiatives and projects at the School, including oversight and strategic guidance for the Fuld Pavilion.
Qualifications: Master's degree required in Nursing or health related field, PhD preferred; 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required. Experience with multiple forms of teaching (didactic, on-line, simulation). Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of information required. Excellent writing skills essential. (Written samples of papers required). Experience in grant writing required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills needed. Results oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment. Knowledge of clinical teaching labs and electronic teaching methodology with solid PC and related skills needed. Eligibility to be registered as a nurse in the state of PA a plus. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
