Assistant Professor - Statistics

Job description

Statistics: Tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in statistics; conduct methodological and collaborative research leading to publication and external funding; provide academic advising; provide service to the institution.

Require: Doctorate in biostatistics, statistics or closely related field by date of appointment.

Consideration may be given to candidates who will enhance the university’s biostatistics and bioinformatics profile; have an excellent record in, or potential for, methodological and collaborative research with molecular biology and bioinformatics researchers; have an interest in teaching a wide variety of statistics courses; who have experience teaching face-to-face courses; or an expertise in one or more of the following areas: statistical genetics, methods for gene expression regulatory networks, bioinformatics, computational modeling, methods for the analysis of “-omics” data or causal inference.
