    The School of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Beckman Laser Institute, located at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking a post-doctoral fellow to work on visualization, segmentation and analysis of images generated using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).
    The Beckman Laser Institute is a multi-disciplinary research center at UC Irvine with a strong focus on optical imaging of organs and tissues. The candidate should have a background on Electrical or Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science, with expertise in Visualization, rendering, segmentation, shape representation and shape statistics. A publication record in this area is absolutely necessary.
    Requirements: Candidates should have a PhD in engineering (ideally electrical or optical) for the postdoctoral fellow position. Communication and writing skills are paramount. Candidates should hold a PhD degree; they should possess the ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting and familiarity with biomedical optics concepts is desired.
    Salary level is negotiable and will depend upon the candidate's experience. All appointments are for one year with potential for extension dependent upon performance and funding.
