Position Summary: Information Technology Services (ITS) - Enterprise Applications, Campus Solutions is seeking an experienced, senior Applications Specialist to analyze, develop and maintain software applications. The position responsibilities include: - Provide senior development leadership to analyze, design, develop, test and support business applications. - Effectively and efficiently respond to software issues as reported by customers and proactively evaluate software/logs/notifications to uncover issues/make improvements as appropriate. - Work with supervisor and customers to understand issues/new requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions. - Document technical solutions in specifications or ticket work logs, as appropriate. Work with vendors to resolve software issues and configure software. - Develop and support interfaces to vendor and internal applications. - Document information on the functionality/configuration of software applications, interfaces, batch processes, etc. and keep the information up to date. - Mentor team members with tasks and skills/knowledge transfer activities as requested. - Understand and carry out the policies of ITS. - Keep supervisor informed of status, issues, etc. - Provide guidance and knowledge to team members in development tools and solutions.

Education Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, or Engineering or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development; or - Bachelor's degree with some computer coursework from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in business applications consulting or development; or - Associate's degree in computer programming and three years of experience in application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Bachelor's degree preferred - Journey level requires an additional one year of experience. - Advanced level requires an additional two years of experience.

Qualification and Experience: The following experience is required: - Technical developer experience in PeopleSoft/PeopleCode. - Extensive SQL experience The following experience is preferred: - Five or more years of technical developer experience in PeopleSoft/PeopleCode - JavaScript - Fluid development - PHP - CSS - Informatica - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Strong communication and organizational skills - Experience in PeopleSoft's Campus Solutions - Experience in Higher Ed
