The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Manager, Research Support. The individual will facilitate the development (planning, writing, editing) of clinical documents and will assist Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) investigators interested in conducting novel and innovative institutional trials. This position reports to the Director of Research Support (SCCC Clinical Trials Office). The individual in this position will be expected to supervise staff and assigned to support activities in Protocol Development.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Health/Biomedical Degree (BS, MSc or other related scientific degree/qualification) scientific background essential. Experience in medical writing of regulatory documents such as clinical protocols, informed consent forms or similar. Experience in the conduct of clinical research/medical communications is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Must possess excellent communication skills. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
