The University of Tennessee Chattanooga Social Work program invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position from committed candidates who will demonstrate excellence in teaching, service, and are interested in building a research portfolio.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  A Master’s degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. in social work or related field. Applicants with the DSW in Social Work will be considered. Applicants who are “all but dissertation” (ABD) will be considered for faculty positions at UTC; however, the degree must be awarded within twelve months of the first semester of employment. Preference will be given to applicants with three years of social work practice experience and clinical licensure. A strong candidate will be able to teach across the areas in which we have need in our curriculum (practice, aging practice, mental health and substance abuse, HBSE, and across programs (BSW, MSW, including online/hybrid offerings). UTC values diversity and would expect the candidate to be well-equipped in including issues related to diversity in all courses taught.

The Social Work program is one of five programs within the School of Professional Studies which is situated within the College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies.
