Assistant Professor of Geology. Tenure-track position
Required: Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, strongly prefer broad training in botany,
with emphasis in molecular techniques and field biology; a strong interest
in teaching excellence; ABD candidates will also be considered.
Primary Responsibilities: Teach 12 semester credit hours per semester. Courses can include, but not
be limited to, General Botany, Biology for Majors I and II, Plants and
People, Genetics, Cell Biology and advanced courses in their specialty.
Delivery of courses will be through face to face as well as distance
delivery. Candidates are encouraged to establish an externally funded
research program involving undergraduate and graduate students, as well
as participate in professional development, and university and community
service. Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. Position is security sensitive.
