Rural Project Manager

Job description

This position within the Kentucky Office of Rural Health will utilize proven project management skills to plan, develop and coordinate rural-focused projects. The position will develop, coordinate and conduct activities including workshops, events, presentations and consultations related to the identified needs of rural stakeholders. Provides or arranges for technical assistance to rural Kentucky communities in assessing and improving health care delivery systems, including strategic planning, needs assessments and community based decision making activities. Candidates should be experienced in public speaking and group facilitation. A familiarity with rural hospitals, clinics and EMS would be helpful but not required. Candidate must have ability to manage, plan and organize multiple activities, possess strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. The position may require extensive travel. This is a 12 month grant funded position.
