The Department of Psychology at Florida State University (FSU) has a Bachelor's Degree program in Psychology, which includes courses in Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, and Social Psychology, as well as Neuroscience and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We invite applications for a 9-month, visiting, full-time, specialized, non-tenure track teaching faculty position at our FSU Campus in Panama City, Florida (FSU PC).
Primary responsibilities are teaching 4 courses each in the Fall and Spring for the undergraduate psychology program at FSU Panama City (or the equivalent depending upon program needs and class sizes). This position will include opportunities for mentoring and advising students and engaging in service to the department and campus as needed. The position begins in Fall of 2019 with the potential to start earlier (i.e., Spring or Summer 2019) if circumstances warrant it. PhD in Psychology from an accredited institution (must be conferred by start date of the position).
Preference will be given to those with previous teaching experience who can teach Clinical Psychology courses (i.e., Abnormal and Abnormal Child Psychology) and courses in at least one other program area (Developmental, Social Psychology, and/or Research Methods).
The Panama City campus of FSU is located 100 miles west of Tallahassee. FSU PC sits directly on the beautiful St. Andrews Bay and is only three miles from the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico. FSU Panama City currently houses 19 bachelor's programs and 8 master's programs and boasts a small faculty-to-student ratio, which gives students a more personalized academic experience. FSU Panama City is also home to the FSU Early Childhood Autism Program (ECAP) which provides ABA therapy to children aged 2-22.
