WFSU-TV/The Florida Channel
The Florida Channel - located in Tallahassee, FL - produces 24/7, year-round coverage of all three branches of state government. Programming includes gavel-to-gavel coverage of a wide variety of state proceedings, along with daily news programs, documentaries, public affairs programs and segments covering issues of interest and importance to all Floridians. The programming is delivered statewide by satellite and is also available on the Internet.
This position will serve as a robotics camera director for legislative committee weeks and session coverage. Duties include operation of robotic television equipment, studio camera operation and other production duties as assigned. Other support duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalency and five years of related experience to include a minimum of one year experience in professional production as a camera operator.
Essential knowledge and skills include running a studio camera.
Experience operating robotic cameras a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong attention to detail; good organizational skills; computer literacy.
Ability to multi-task and in a fast paced team-oriented environment.
All who apply must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Approximate employment dates are December 11-20, 2018 resuming January 2- May 3, 2019; minimum 30 hours weekly.

(30 hours weekly minimum) Ability to work a flexible schedule is required as days and times may vary. Typical schedule likely Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 am - 6:30 pm; Monday and/or Friday hours differ. Occasional weekend and OT work might be required. Must be able to work Spring Break.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
