ASU Lake Havasu (https://havasu.asu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time nine-month Lecturer position in Communication. The position has an anticipated start date of August 16, 2019. This is a benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible position renewable on an academic year basis (August 16 to May 15) contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach four sections per semester in the Communication Department (undergraduate level). Assigned courses may include one or more foundational courses along with one or more upper division courses as needed. Upper division courses may include Rhetoric and Media Criticism, Communication in Culture, Advanced Research Methods in Communication, and/or Gender and Communication. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in service to the university and profession as appropriate.

The position requires a minimum of an earned Ph.D. (or appropriate terminal degree) in the discipline or closely related field, demonstrated teaching experience in the appropriate area, and a demonstrated commitment to student success in a transdisciplinary environment.

Desired qualifications include: (1) demonstrated experience teaching foundational courses in Communication; (2) evidence of teaching experience with upper division courses in Business Communication, Mediated Communication and Technology, and Interpersonal Communication; (3) demonstrated experience with multiple teaching modalities; (4) and demonstrated success meeting the needs of diverse student populations
