Lecturer I (3YR) in History/College of Liberal Arts

The University of Texas- Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) seeks a Lecturer for a three year non-tenure track position to begin in fall 2019. The ideal candidate will have specialized in U.S. History with a minor field or substantial graduate training in Latin American History of Mexican History. Preference will be given to applicants who have a minimum of one year’s experience teaching at an institution of higher education. Applicants should have Ph.D. from an accredited university in hand by the time of appointment, evidence of effective teaching, experience and/or interest in online course development. Letter of interest should address candidate’s qualifications for the position and how those qualifications would contribute to student success at UTRGV. Indicate that you are applying for position of 3YA Lecturer in U.S. History. Primarily responsible for teaching freshman U.S. history survey courses and, if needed, an occasional course in Latin American or Mexican History. Research agenda is encouraged.
