Job description

Duties: In coordination with the Human Resources Division, responsible for the oversight, administration, implementation, and communication of the University compensation programs for approximately 4000 staff in the Perelman School of Medicine. Works collaboratively with PSOM senior management and representatives of departments, centers and institutes to develop compensation programs and practices that strategically address management issues. Provides consultation to managers and supervisors on job design, job classification, FLSA issues, and salary administration to ensure equitable and competitive pay practices. Responsible for ensuring compliance with University policies, practices, and procedures, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Supports Human Resources programs and services to fulfill the strategic plan of the University, Human Resources and PSOM. Reports to the Director, Human Resources PSOM with a dotted line to the Executive Director of Compensation.

Qualifications: The minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources Compensation or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; experience with evaluating jobs in medical research is a plus; CCP strongly preferred. Through knowledge of FLSA and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and problem solving skills to address the needs of managers while ensuring compliance. Excellent customer service skills; ability to work as a team as well as independently. Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task and prioritize work; demonstrated negotiation skills. Ability to mentor and train; cultivate positive and collegial workplace relationships. Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. Experience with Workday is a plus.
