Job description

Duties: The primary purpose of this position is to operate a custom-built adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscope (AOSLO). The AOSLO built in the Morgan lab is a one-of-a-kind device whose purpose is to enable cellular imaging of structure and function in the human retina noninvasively. There are only a handful of comparable AOSLO devices world-wide, and that the successful candidate must have prior experience operating custom-built imaging systems and/or show they are capable of successfully operating the Morgan lab AOSLO. In addition, the position will require overseeing students and technicians in the Morgan laboratory. This position will be the 'point-person' for initiating experiments, and for coordinating experimental schedules within the lab. This position will also coordinate patient visits for clinical trials and research visits. This will include scheduling patient travel, collecting data for study visits and analyzing study data.

Qualifications: The minimum of an Associate's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
