The College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is seeking applications for a full-time Instructor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) beginning Fall 2019. This position will teach courses, including cross-listed courses, in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering as assigned by the department chair. The course load for an instructor/senior instructor is up to 30 credit hours per academic year, but can be lowered if the instructor participates in other activities. A typical instructor workload would be 80% teaching (24 credit hours) and 20% service.

Academic year (9 month) salary: $55,000 - $57,000

Minimum requirements:

Applicants must possess an MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field at the time of appointment.

Preferred experience:

An earned Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field; teaching experience at the college level; experience with delivery of distance courses
