FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Job description

Duties: The Administrative Coordinator will engage in a wide range of activities to coordinate the daily operations of the Division of Public Safety by: processing payroll, managing the FML process, coordinating annual service recognition award activities, documenting and tracking invoices, processing Child Abuse Clearances, entering HR requisitions, preparing new hire packages for approval, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, processing reimbursements, maintaining office files and supplies, preparing correspondence, managing the on-line appraisal process, coordinating Divisional on-boarding and training activities.

Qualifications: An Associate's Degree or two year college equivalent is required and 2 years to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; demonstrated skill in dealing with customers at all levels of the of the organization; ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information; demonstrated strong work ethic; ability to balance multiple tasks; good judgment and high attention to detail are required. Candidate must possess excellent decision making skills, proven ability to work independently under both direct and limited supervision. Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational and interpersonal skills are
essential. Detail-oriented and thorough in the preparation/review of written documents and demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines. Must be comfortable juggling multiple duties simultaneously, and possess strong PC skills using Word Office Suite software. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Must sign a confidentiality statement.

This position is classified as essential personnel (24 hours/7 days), which may require weekend assignments and holiday assignments.
