Advertised Job Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Director for Diversity and Inclusion, the Coordinator for Diversity and Inclusion is responsible for helping to create and implement a comprehensive diversity recruitment plan. The Coordinator will be primarily responsible for managing a group of 30-50 MOST (Multicultural Outreach Student Team) student volunteers. This includes recruiting current students to join MOST, running meetings, and coordinating efforts to engage members in connecting with prospective students. S/he will also have a full range of admissions responsibilities, including recruitment travel to target high schools; planning and executing key diversity recruitment programs both on and off campus; training volunteers who assist with recruitment efforts; collaborating with myriad campus offices and organizations; and reviewing and making decisions on applications for admissions to USC. The overall purpose of the Coordinator is to propose new and creative ideas to ensure prospective students have been personally, effectively, and knowledgeably served, while working for the highest yield of enrolled students from the admitted group. Position requires travel as well as some evening and weekend work.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Masters degree in Student Personnel Services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Position requires travel as well as some weekend and evening work.
