Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia (UVA) invites applications for the position of Director of the Facilities Planning and Construction. Reporting to the Associate Vice President and Chief Facilities Officer (AVP/CFO), the Director of Facilities Planning and Construction will provide leadership and direction for a large department of professional staff that manage capital construction projects for the University's
Academic Division, Health System and College at Wise.

The Department is responsible for procurement, contracting and managing projects within developed and approved budgets, scopes and schedules as needed to meet University objectives. This project workload averages $250 million in annual expenditures associated with 150 projects.

The successful candidate will be a recognized leader who is highly proficient in developing strategies, setting goals, allocating resources and providing innovative solutions to complex issues. They will possess strong leadership characteristics specifically related to communication, and developing strong cohesive and effective teams.
