The Center for Leadership & Service provides collaborative programs to better serve students, the campus, and the community. Opportunities and events exist to develop students to become engaged leaders in the global community.

Job Description
The Career and Leadership Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Director, Leadership and Services to join our team.

This position is responsible for overseeing the administration and operations of the Center for Leadership and Service which includes establishing and maintaining long and short term planning for the Center's development in conjunction with goals of the University. This position establishes and maintains contacts with external organizations, which includes government and private agencies, professional organizations, and other colleges and universities to aid and foster the provision of quality leadership and service programs for students and the University community.Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Develops strategic goals and objectives for the department, which also supports and promotes the goals and objectives of the division and university.
* Provides administrative leadership in the development, coordination, implementation and assessment of leadership development and community service programs and services.
* Formulates and seeks funding for the departmental budgets and demonstrates fiscal responsibility in adhering to the fiscal parameters and established guidelines in the administration of the approved budgets.
* Oversees the recruitment, hiring, training and performance management of full-time employees, part-time employees, graduate assistants, student assistants and student leader volunteers within the department.
* Collaborates with campus departments, university alumni, and community organizations in the development of collaborative programs that connect UNT with the community for community engagement and leadership development opportunities.
* Serves as the administrator for the Leadership Studies Academic Certificate and oversees related leadership courses
* Serves on university committees, councils, task forces and other assignments as well as on regional and national organizations committees and councils as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience in leadership development; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in related field and five years of professional related experience in leadership development.
