Student Affairs Officer I

Job description

This position will be responsible for overseeing the admission, advising, retention, and graduation of our graduate students, performing tasks such as monitoring graduate student progress, facilitating qualifying exams, and working with the UK International Center to procure visas.

The Student Affairs Officer I will work closely with the Directors of Graduate Studies of both Mechanical Engineering, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, assisting them in further developing the programs (such as expanding the MFS online graduate program), and facilitating their meetings.

The position will assist in the selection of the department's graduate assistants and will maintain the relevant databases. The position may perform other duties as needed.
