Lecturer of Physics - Non-Tenure Track

Job Description: Loyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics invites applications for two lecturer positions in the Department of Physics, beginning in the 2019-2020 academic year. The Department of Physics has extensive undergraduate teaching duties in the College of Arts and Sciences, as well as in its own programs for Physics Majors and Minors. Teaching responsibilities shall include a 4-4 teaching load, which includes introductory physics courses and labs for non-physics majors as well as courses for physics majors. In addition, the candidate must be willing to support the mission of LUC and the goals of a Jesuit Catholic Education. Experience with a wide variety of different educational, research, or other work activities, including industry, is a plus.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in Physics or a related area Strong commitment to excellence in teaching Record of (or clear potential for) undergraduate mentorship.
