Position Summary: This position provides direct employee relations services to designated departments and schools of the University and is responsible for ensuring clients are given real time advice for routine, critical, and complex work-related situations. Employee relations services include administration of the University's performance management program, disciplinary actions and related involuntary separations, administrative leave programs, mediation and facilitated discussions, climate assessments and workplace investigations. The position is charged with developing, recommending, and facilitating options and strategies that are in accordance with federal, state and University policies, procedures, statutes and HR best practices and that demonstrate a thorough assessment/analysis of the situation. Each consultant works with an assigned campus population of approximately 2000 permanent faculty and staff. This position also serves as a subject matter expert to the EMR team on one or more assigned employee relations policies and programs (e.g., performance management, grievances, investigatory processes, etc.).

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
